Terms

Last updated · 29 April 2026

The ground rules for using www.level44.co — separate from the engagement terms that govern client work.

Draft, not legal advice. These terms cover use of the www.level44.co website only — they don't replace a written engagement contract for client work. Have a UK solicitor review before launch, particularly if you sell digital products, accept payments through the site, or operate beyond the UK and Ireland.

These terms apply to your use of www.level44.co ("the site"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are

The site is operated by Level44, a design studio based at Campsie House, Crumlin Road, Belfast. References to "we", "us", and "our" are references to Level44.

For client engagements (branding, web, UX projects), the terms of work are agreed in a separate written contract. Nothing on this page replaces or amends those contracts.

Use of the site

You may browse, share, and reference the site for personal and business purposes, subject to the rest of these terms.

You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks UK law,
  • copy, reproduce, or republish substantial portions of the site without permission,
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected systems,
  • use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or mirror the site for resale,
  • introduce malware, attempt denial-of-service, or otherwise interfere with the site's operation.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on the site — including writing, designs, mockups, photographs, illustrations, logos, code samples, and case studies — is owned by Level44 or licensed to us, and is protected by UK and international copyright law.

Client logos, brand assets, and project work shown in case studies remain the property of their respective owners. They appear on the site with permission as a record of the work delivered.

You may quote short extracts of our writing for commentary, news, or research, with credit and a link back. For anything more — reproducing a case study in full, using our designs in a presentation, training a model on our content — please ask first by emailing [email protected].

Accuracy of content

We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee that every page is current or free from errors. Information on the site is provided for general guidance — it's not professional advice for your specific situation. If you're making a decision based on something we've written, talk to us first.

Links to other sites

The site links to external services (calendar booking, social media, third-party tools, supplier pages). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Visit them at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by UK law:

  • the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind,
  • we exclude all implied warranties relating to the site's availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose,
  • we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site (lost profits, lost data, business interruption, and so on),
  • our total liability arising from your use of the site is limited to £100, except where the law prevents us from limiting liability (death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and other matters that can't be excluded under UK law).

This limit applies only to the website. Liability under client engagement contracts is governed by those contracts.

Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use the site after changes are published means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any dispute arising from your use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
